President George W. Bush Receives New Husqvarna Brushcutter from Swedish Prime Minister

The prime minister of Sweden, Fredrik Reinfeldt, held meetings yesterday with President George W. Bush to discuss environmental and trade issues. As a matter of protocol, the prime minister presented President Bush with a gift from Sweden: a new Husqvarna 335Rx brushcutter.

Chosen from among many quality engineered Swedish products, the 335Rx brushcutter features X-TORQ engine technology which reduces emissions by 60 percent and fuel consumption by 20 percent – making it an appropriate gift given the nature of the meeting. And considering President Bush’s activities at his Texas ranch and his preference for outdoor exercise, the new brushcutter was a natural choice. The 335Rx features Husqvarna’s exclusive X-Torq engine system, considered one of the world’s best two-stroke engines combining high power, low weight and reduced emissions. The hard-chromed cylinder and forged three-piece crankshaft provide increased durability. Low Vib technology separates the engine and cutting equipment from the handles reducing the amount of vibration felt by the operator.

The Ergo-Cruise system combines an ergonomic handle design with cruise control allowing the operator to increase RPMs as needed and return to a pre-set level with one touch, reducing operator fatigue, fuel consumption, noise and emissions. To further increase operator comfort and reduce fatigue, the handle bar is offset and arch shaped and features soft grip handles.

Husqvarna’s Smart StartTM technology incorporates a decompression valve and an additional spring in the recoil system, decreasing the amount of effort required to pull the starter cord by up to 40 percent.
